Large & Heavy Part 5-Axis CNC Machining
5-axis CNC machines are cutting-edge tools that significantly enhance machining capabilities by allowing for simultaneous movement along five different axes. This advanced functionality enables the production of complex geometries and intricate features that would be challenging or impossible with traditional 3-axis machines. With the ability to approach the workpiece from multiple angles, large part 5-axis CNC machining and heavy part 5-axis CNC machining minimize the need for multiple setups, reducing production time and increasing precision. Additionally, they excel in creating high-quality surface finishes and intricate details, making them ideal for prototyping as well as high-volume production.

5-Axis Machining Capabilities
5-axis CNC machining uses computer-controlled centers that can move a cutting tool or workpiece along the X, Y, and Z linear axes and simultaneously rotate on the A and B or C axes:
- Maximum workpiece size: 120” wide by 60” deep by 25” high.
- Maximum part size: 190” wide by 60” deep by 25” high.
The right-angle head allows for horizontal and vertical machining, extending the tools' reach to machine deep cavities and pockets.

Benefits of 5-axis Machining
In addition to complex geometries and enhanced efficiency, 5-axis CNC machining offers these benefits:
- Reduced Setup Time: Five axes reduce the need for repositioning
- Material Conservation: Precision machining minimizes material waste
- Improved Surface Finish: Often eliminates the need for post-machining finishing processes
5-axis CNC machining centers can include advanced programming software, tool management systems, and automation compatibility, further streamlining operations.
